International Francophone Network for Health Promotion (RÉFIPS) brings together a network of French-speaking actors in health promotion. It promotes mutual assistance between actors as well as the exchange and dissemination of health promotion knowledge and practices. The organization works to reduce disparities in health and well-being between Francophone countries, particularly between countries of the North and the South. It does this through the recognition of health promotion and the implementation of integrated actions and public policies designed to improve the health determinants of populations and reduce social inequalities in health, within a sustainable development perspective.

The organization is divided into six geographic sections. The region of the Americas section (located in Montréal) is made up of countries in the Americas, including Canada (particularly the province of Quebec and Francophone communities in the other provinces) and Haiti, as well as the French Departments of America (DFA). Through their active involvement in the international Network, Americas section members have consistently had a strong presence in all Network activities since its inception.
