Global Citizen will be convening its largest-ever campaign to end extreme poverty in Johannesburg on December 2 with Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100.
Our festival in South Africa will serve as the capstone event for our year-long Be the Generation campaign, inspired by Nelson Mandela and his lifelong dedication to rallying people together to use their collective voices to speak for the most marginalized. We’re working to secure $1 billion in new commitments to fight malnutrition, end preventable disease, educate children, repeal laws that hold women back, ensure clean water for all, and support the Global Goals.
The Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100 will feature Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Cassper Nyovest, D'banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams & Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher, and Wizkid. Alongside presenting major partner Motsepe Foundation, world and corporate leaders, artists, and activists we will present the biggest campaign on the Global Goals to end extreme poverty worldwide.
