Founded in 1969 in La Pocatière, and adhering to the Charte de principes pour un développement solidaire [Charter of principles for development in solidarity] and to the Charte de principes sur les droits humains et le développement [Charter of principles on human rights and development], L’AMIE works towards the well-being of disadvantaged children in 14 countries around the world. Operating with local partners from a sustainable development perspective, L’AMIE supports initiatives mainly in the areas of education, health and food through its four programs: sponsorships, development projects, international solidarity internships, and public education.
