Emily is the Public Engagement Officer and leads the strategy, tactics and community mobilization for CanWaCH’s public engagement efforts. Liaising with a variety of public and sector stakeholders, Emily coordinates the day-to-day tactical implementation of the Lead On Canada campaign, as well as the planning and implementation of live activations. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western University and a Master of Science in Global Health from McMaster University. Emily has had diverse work experiences in the nonprofit sector, both locally and abroad. Most recently, she worked for the Canadian Co-operative Association in Peru. In addition to her role with CanWaCH, Emily works part-time for the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research (CCGHR) coordinating the Student and Young Professional Network. Emily is actively engaged in wildlife conservation and volunteers with the Bruce Trail Conservancy. When not immersed in all things global health, she spends her spare time hiking in the backcountry and making elaborate vegetarian meals.
