Leigha is the Senior Knowledge Exchange Officer at CanWaCH, with a key role in overseeing the organization's knowledge exchange work, including managing member engagement and supporting the stakeholder engagement team. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies and Modern Languages from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Philanthropy and Non-Profit Leadership at Carleton University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy at Carleton University, focusing on knowledge mobilization among international NGOs to influence public policy. Before starting with CanWaCH, Leigha was involved with several non-profits, including serving as the Manager of Knowledge Mobilization and Member Services for Volunteer Canada. She has also volunteered for the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre and SafePet Ottawa, and serves on the board of JustChange Ottawa, a local giving circle that provides small grants for innovative community-based initiatives. Her personal interests include languages, used bookstores, senior dogs and ethical fashion and beauty.
