William B. Chambers
William B. Chambers is President and CEO of Save the Children Canada. He has been a long-time supporter of Save the Children, including serving as the Chair of the Board Directors (2005-2009).Previously, Bill Chambers was the Principal at W.B. Chambers Consulting, focusing on strategy, governance and leadership consulting for Non-Governmental Organisations. Prior to this role, Bill was the Vice President, Strategy and Public Affairs for CBC/Radio- Canada and served in various roles on CBC’s Senior Executive Team from 2003 to 2015.
From 1997 to 2003, he worked for Goldfarb Consultants a leading market and strategic research firm, first in Paris as Managing Director of Goldfarb Consultants France and then in London as Managing Director of Goldfarb Consultants Europe. Bill has also worked for The Molson Companies Limited where he served as, among other things, Vice President Corporate Affairs.
From 1981 – 1988, Bill worked in government and served as Chief of Staff to then Foreign Minister, The Right Honourable Joe Clark.
Bill holds a Master of Business Administration from the European School of Management (EAP/ESCP) in Paris, France, a Bachelor of Science from Concordia University and a Diplôme d'étude française from the Université des Langues et Lettres de Grenoble.
In addition to his service to Save the Children, Bill has sat on the boards of numerous NGO’s including UNICEF Canada, The Canadian Journalism Foundation, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards, Pollution Probe and the Toronto Dance Theatre, among others. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of St. Elizabeth Health Care.
